The casing includes the timber stop that as the name suggests stops the door when it sets into place preventing it from becoming a saloon style swing door.

The fire door frames that we manufacture have been rigorously tested and certified by bwf certifire. The set comprises an 1800mm 6 wide pair of doors and a frame that will accomodate the doors plus 1 or 2 fixed sidelights of nominal width 450mm or 600mm available separately. The frames come trenched out to accept the included 15mm x 4mm self adhesive intumescent strips with brushes please advise us if you would prefer these without the brushes. They are grooved for 15x4mm intumescent strip.

It is essential that the door that you fit in the frame is also certified as a fire door in order to be compliant. Our door casing sets internal softwood or internal mdf. These casings are ready for painting or staining to. To suit doors 2 6 78 x 30 1981 x 762mm and 2 9 78 x 33 1981 x 838mm pre routed to accept wickes intumescent strips for added security during a fire complete with 14 5 x 32mm door stop.

The internal softwood 30 minute fire door casing is designed to meet with all current fire testing criteria to bs 476 part 22 and meets with certifire approval for 30 minute fire protection.
